The Faculty of Physics of the Moscow State University took part in the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on August 20th 2013. “Innovation Day Organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation”.
Innovation Day organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is a specialized event aimed at professional audience with the purpose of demonstrating up and coming ideas and projects in Russian industry and MIC to the key personnel of the Ministry of Defense with the following analysis and subsequent implementation of the most interesting solutions in the work of MOD RF.
Engineering Physics Laboratory of the Faculty of Physics of the Moscow State University demonstrated its designs which can be used in the interests of defense and security of the State, among them:
‘Remodeling and lifing of electronics, back engineering and functional diagnostics of the analog and digital circuits’ laboratory. This laboratory help find and troubleshoot almost any PCB design and run a functional test, check element base, detect counterfeit, make reverse engineering, find ‘bookmarks’, as well as train the experts on the available hardware in the ongoing programs of the laboratory and on the customer’s premises.
Robot-platform which performs hopping movement, an absolutely new principle of movement for automatons. Movement mechanism of this robot is capable of covering long distances on hard surface with minimal energy consumption, which makes it a perfect candidate for military and scientific research. The main advantage of the project is the principle of the hopping movement, first of its kind, which will soon find its niche on the market of automatons.
Specialized processors and platforms for data processing. The main objective of the project is to create a prototype of a scalable server, which could be used in hosting centers and energy efficient data processing centers containing thousands or tens of thousands cores with the simultaneous access to data at the memory controller level (shared memory) and hardware based lightweight multithread architecture which would work under POSIX-compatible OS.
